Some Manifestations of the Articulation of the Compensatory and Infringement Regime and its Impact on Deterrence in the Protection of Consumer’s Rights
The Consumer Protection Law (LPDC) contains administrative sanctions that seek to dissuade certain conducts. The LPDC considers the
coexistence of the sanctioning and compensatory regimes, and rules that harmoniously gather both regimes. It is postulated that the exercise of the civil action contributes or may contribute to produce the dissuasive effect of the infringement action in cases of mixed contraventions.
